About the event
Resilientville Canada is a, often, paper-based role-playing simulation and asset-mapping exercise designed to teach community members how to prepare for and respond to emergency events, such as floods, wind storms, or earthquakes.
Developed by Community Resilience to Extreme Weather (CREW) in Toronto, this tool is designed to encourage a "neighbors-helping-neighbors" approach, emphasizing that community-level social networking and planning can improve survival for 72 hours or more when official first responders are overwhelmed.
