Host the conference
The HEDR Conference brings together leading experts, practitioners, and researchers to share knowledge, best practices, and innovations in diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. In 2025, we will be celebrating our 10-year milestone.
That's why we are calling on our membership to submit an application to host the 2025 HEDR Conference. Hosting the conference is not only a fantastic opportunity to showcase your institution and city, but it also provides an excellent chance to make a meaningful contribution to advancing the field of diversity, equity, and inclusion in Halton Region.
As a host institution, you will be responsible for planning and implementing the conference. This involves securing the conference venue, arranging for accommodations and transportation, coordinating catering and food service, and managing the overall financial aspects of the conference. But fear not, HEDR will provide base funding to support the conference, as well as sponsorship support to help defray costs. Additionally, HEDR will maintain the conference website, so you don't have to worry about building or updating one.
Hosting the HEDR Conference is an opportunity to showcase your institution and city. It provides a platform to highlight your organization's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and demonstrate your leadership in the field. This can attract attention and funding from potential partners, sponsors, and collaborators, creating a ripple effect of positive outcomes beyond the conference itself.
Finally, hosting the HEDR Conference is a chance to contribute to the broader movement of promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education. By bringing together experts and practitioners in the field, we can advance our collective knowledge, share best practices, and collaborate on innovative solutions to the complex challenges facing higher education today. It is an opportunity to make a lasting impact on the field and create a more equitable and inclusive future for all.
